Regional Franchisee of the Year Award

SENECA — Helen Westmoreland, who operates the H&R Block franchise offices in Seneca and West Union, has been presented with the company’s 2008 Regional Franchisee of the Year Award. The presentation was made during H&R Block’s U.S. Tax Services National Franchise Convention Oct. 20 - 24 in Orlando.

Westmoreland was among 13 regional winners honored. About 2,000 H&R Block franchisees and guests from around the U.S. attended the gathering. H&R Block franchisees operate more than 4,700 offices in the U.S.  H&R Block’s Senior Vice President, Ken Treat, praised Westmoreland’s performance. “Helen helped set the standard for H&R Block franchise tax offices last season with an understanding of the complex tax industry and an ability to hire tax professionals who provide prompt, accurate service and offer the right tax solutions to clients. And besides being able to run a great business, Helen was also recognized for her community service.”

At the convention, Westmoreland heard from Treat and other H&R Block leaders, including executives such as President and Chief Executive Officer Russ Smyth. Smyth stressed to franchisees his priority of providing support needed for their

clients’ experience in the H&R Block office.
